William IV Bracket Clock
(John Grayson of Henley on Thames)

 

This mahogany bracket clock, by Grayson of Henley, with painted dial, roman chapters and spade hands has a pleasing mellowed look. Solid brass bezel , brass handles to side, with church window side sound frets. The movement is a Double English Fusee with bob pendulum and pull repeat striking function.

 

Height 15ins, Width 10½ins, Depth 6½ins.

 

John Grayson is reported as working in Henley on Thames 1823 to 1850 and William Grayson worked from 1839 to 1860.
